Todays prompt by @nonsense.and.sensibility  is "Rocking Around the Christmas Tree...a design similar to your favorite decorations...." I have a very traditional tree with sentimental ornaments and a lot of red & green in the ornaments but I have always loved Victorian Christmas tree decorations in soft pastel colors. I chose the Mr. Boddington's Penguin Classic Pride & Prejudice and the Thomas Nelson Seasons Winter Pride & Prejudice to represent the soft colors of a Victorian Christmas tree.

Today it is popular to have everything matching on your tree but I love a mashup of ornaments that have been collected for many years. I am very sentimental which is why I have so many ornaments and cannot bring myself to part with any of them.  I feel the same way with my books.  Why would anyone need multiple copies of the same book? My answer would be.....because they are beautiful and fun to collect.  Many editions of classics have introductions by authors or someone else famous.  It is fun to to read the different introductions for the same book.

Let's talk  about these beautiful books....

Thomas Nelson Seasons Edition-Winter is a set of four beautiful books with a laser cut design on the slipcover.  Each first edition book is limited to 10,000 copies.  This series was launched in October 2019 with the Seasons Edition-Winter being the first set of books.  I have 2 books in the set.  Can you guess which 2 books I had to own?
Books included....
*Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
*Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
*A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens
*Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
The Seasons Edition- Summer will be released in June 2020. For more information on this series please check out the Thomas Nelson site online here.

Mr. Boddington's Penguin Classic is a set of six beautiful books that were available at Anthropologie.  I was fortunate to receive Sense & Sensibility and Little Women as a gift from my daughter, Bethany.  She found them at TJMaxx.  Later I was able to acquire the above Pride & Prejudice at Half Price Books. There are numerous blog posts about these books but I was unable to find a link to the actual book site for Mr. Boddington Penguin Classic books.
Books included....
*Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
*Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen
*Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
*Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
*Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
*Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll
