Usually Favorites Friday is for longtime favorites but today's book is a new favorite. When we travel I love to visit literary sites, bookstores, and Titanic sites if there are any nearby. I appreciate that my husband goes out of his way to take me to these places because he is not a reader and doesn't understand my fascination with my favorite books and favorite authors.
Novel Destinations: A Travel Guide to Literary Landmarks From Jane Austen's Bath to Ernest Hemingway's Key West by Shannon McKenna Schmidt & Joni Rendon is an amazing book. It is fun to just thumb through and look for random places or find one of your favorite authors. You can find more information on their website Novel Destinations
I live in Missouri so I have been able to visit Laura Ingalls Wilder's last home in Mansfield, Missouri and Mark Twain's home in Hannibal, Missouri. They were both very interesting and a lot of fun. The town of Hannibal is full of museums, homes, and caves related to Mark Twain. Mansfield has more than just Rocky Ridge Farm. We were not able to visit the town or burial site but I would love to return someday to see more.

There were some places that I wish would have been included in the book but obviously not every literary location will fit into one book. If you like to travel to bookish locations you would love this book. I would love to hear from you about your travels and sites you have enjoyed.
I would like to visit the home of Jane Austen
