The Hazel Wood is an intriguing book that leads the reader into a fairytale.  Alice and her mother, Ella, and been running from bad luck for as long as Alice can remember. When it seems that their bad luck is finally over Ella disappears. The story follows Alice as she tried to find her mother and in the process discover the truth about her past.

I absolutely loved this series. Normally I do not reread books but The Hazel Wood was an exception.  Thank you to Flat Iron Books for sending me a paperback copy of The Hazel Wood and inviting me to participate in a reread. The reread was a lot of fun. I made some new friends on Instagram while participating in a buddy read. 

The sequel, The Night Country, will be published in January 2020.
