Favorites Friday: Little Women

Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

Little Women has been a favorite of mine since I first watched the 1949 version of the movie.  It was the first classic book I ever purchased as a teenager. The size of the book was a little intimidating so I didn't actually finish the book until I was an adult. 

The March family is my favorite book family. If I could join any book family I  would want to be a part of the March family. The sisters have a beautiful bond and so much love. Marmee is wise and loving. She sees her daughters as individuals and wants them to find their own happiness with their special gifts.  

Do I watch any of the other movie versions?  Yes....I try to watch every new movie at least once. I always go back to my favorite, 1949.  I am looking forward to the new 2019 version and curious to see how this new interpretation will play out on the big screen.
