Book Shopping by my Daughter
I am very lucky that my adult children know how much I love books. My daughter found these for me at a local resale shop. She sent me pics of all of the books and purchased my choices.
I have read Sunset Beach by Mary Kay Andrews. I really enjoyed it. She is an auto read for me. If you enjoy beach reads she may be an author for you too.
Inside Out and Back Again by Thanhha Lai is a middle grade book that has many good reviews.
The Farm by Joanne Ramos sounds intriguing and I look forward to reading it.
Jane Austen A Celebration of Her Life and Work by Lauren Nixon was a gift from my daughter. She knows how much I love Jane Austen. It is a beautiful book.

June New Release: The Rumor
The Rumor
By Lesley Kara
5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Rumor by Lesley Kara was the first book I was approved to review on Netgalley when I joined this year. I really enjoyed this new author and look forward to more books from her.
Netgalley Review:
Wow! What a great first book by Lesley Kara. Joanna is a part time real estate agent in a small seaside town. She grew up in the town but only recently moved back with her young son. They are trying to adjust and fit in. When she hears a rumor about a child murderer possibly living in her town under a new name she uses that to start a conversation at a book club and again with a group of moms at school. Strange things start happening and she feels her son is being threatened. Any woman of the right age could be the killer. This was a great book. I can't wait to read more from this author. I could not put it down and did not figure it out until the author was ready to share the answer
Thank you to Netgalley and Ballantine Books for the opportunity to read and review this book.

June New Release: Our Stop
Our Stop
But Laura Jane Williams
4⭐⭐⭐⭐
***I received a free copy of this book from the publisher. I voluntarily reviewed this book and all opinions are my own.
I recieved this ebook from Netgalley a few days ago and finished it this morning.
This was a fun light read. The characters were very likeable. Nadia and Daniel both have a lot going on in their lives but they are still wanting that special someone to love.
Definitely worth reading.....the price is great on Amazon today.
My Netgalley Review:
Our Stop by Laura Jane Williams is a cute and funny romantic comedy about 2 people who are unlucky in love. Nadia loves hanging out with her 2 best friends and tends to run late in the morning for work. Daniel is a sweet guy who is always on time in the morning. Daniel notices Nadia on the train and wants to meet her so he places an ad in a newspaper column called "Missed Connections". Nadia's friends see the ad and think it's about her. She answers the ad and a conversation through newspaper ads begins. What if you felt someone was your soulmate but you had not officially met? What would you do? The story is told alternately between Nadia and Daniel. This is an adorable and fun story. If you enjoy star crossed lovers romance then this book is for you. Thank you Netgalley and Avon Books UK for the opportunity to read and review this book. General Fiction (Adult) Women's Fiction Release Date: June 13, 2019

June New Release: Those People
Those People
By Louise Candlish
4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
***I received a free copy of this book from the publisher. I voluntarily reviewed this book and all opinions are my own.
I'm sure everyone has had a bad neighbor at some point. I know I have...loud music and pool parties half the night. So...yes I enjoyed this book.
This is my second book by Louise Candlish. I have also read Our House ( which I recommend).
My Netgalley Review:
Lowland Way is a very nice community. The neighbors seems to get along well. On Sundays the street is blocked off to traffic and parked cars are moved so that children can safely play in the street. Everything is wonderful until the new neighbors move into the house at the end of the block. The construction and loud music at all hours starts and drives the neighbors crazy. Everyone has a reason to dislike the new neighbors. Then one day a tragic accident happens and as the neighbors are questioned everyone seems to have secrets. Was it an accident or did someone cause the accident on purpose? This is the second book by the author, Louise Candlish. I have enjoyed both of her books and look forward to reading her next book. Thank you to Netgalley and Berkley Publishing Group for the opportunity to read and review this book. Mystery & Thrillers Expected Release Date: June 11, 2019

This is a mystery/thriller where the main character struggles with trusting herself in addition to trusting others in her life.
Alice has a perfect life with her husband and daughter until a tragic accident takes her husband. Alice falls apart until she meets Nathan. Nathan helps Alice to get her life back on track. They get married and have a daughter. Nathan is her husband and her business partner. Life seems almost perfect again until strange things start to happen. Who can Alice Trust? Can she trust her husband?
Sandie Jones is also the author of The Other Woman which I also enjoyed reading.
My Netgalley review:
Alice had a perfect life. She had a husband she loved, a great business, and a beautiful daughter, Sophie. When Tom dies in a tragic accident she falls apart and does not know how to go on until she meets Nathan. Nathan helps her to recover. He is a great father to Sophie and they have a daughter together, Olivia. Eventually Nathan joins Alice's company and they make a great team. Alice still has severe anxiety over someone walking out the door and never coming back so Nathan steps up to take care things she cannot handle. One day something changes and Alice starts to get suspicious that maybe Nathan is having an affair. Little things start to happen and she turns to Beth, her best friend. Beth understands cheating. Alice is so unsure of herself that she doesn't know if Nathan is cheating or if it is just her anxiety. Can she trust Nathan? Is it just all in her head? What should she do? Titanic
The larger book is more of a catalog of pieces that been brought up to the surface. The smaller book is a book dedicated to the Las Vegas exhibit.
In 2012 and 2019 we visited the exhibit in Las Vegas which holds the largest piece of the ship ever brought to the surface. Some people believe that this exhibit is haunted. Delicate dishes and pieces of sheet music are on display along with pieces of the ship.

In 2016 we visited the exhibit in Pidgeon Forge, Tennessee This exhibit seemed to be larger. The gift shop was a lot larger than Las Vegas.

When you visit an exhibition you will be given a ticket to board the Titanic. At the end of the tour you will search the names to see if you are a survivor of the Titanic.
I hope to visit the exhibit in Branson some time in the near future
